The Search for Open-Source Intelligence

OSINT@Home

Community-powered compute GRID for AI-assisted open-source intelligence.

OSINT@Home is a voluntary distributed compute initiative designed to support the next generation of open-source intelligence analysis. The project is in closed beta and approaching its first public client release.

Mission

Compute at the speed of open-source intelligence.

Open-source intelligence requires speed, context and scalable processing capacity. OSINT@Home explores a privacy-conscious way for a trusted community to contribute spare compute resources to analytical workflows.

What is OSINT@Home

A community client for analytical workloads.

OSINT@Home is a community client that allows selected contributors to support AI-assisted processing tasks in a controlled and transparent way. The goal is to create a distributed compute layer that strengthens independent analysis without compromising user privacy or system integrity.

How it works

A controlled, voluntary contribution loop.

A simplified, high-level view of how a contributor takes part.

  1. 01

    A contributor installs the client.

The client is installed voluntarily on a personal or organizational machine.

  2. 02

The client receives controlled analytical workloads.

Tasks are scoped, bounded and predefined — never arbitrary code execution.

  3. 03

The system processes tasks without accessing personal files.

Workloads operate on inputs delivered to the client, not on the contributor's own data.

  4. 04

Results are returned to the OSINT INTELLIGENCE infrastructure.

Outputs are sent back to the coordinating layer for aggregation and review.

  5. 05

Contributors help improve speed, resilience and coverage.

Each participant strengthens the overall analytical capacity of the network.

Why it matters

Four properties of a healthy distributed analysis layer.

01

Scalable analysis

Distributed capacity expands the volume and depth of open-source signals an analyst can process.

02

Distributed resilience

Workloads spread across many small contributions absorb load and recover gracefully.

03

Community participation

A trusted community gains a direct, voluntary way to support independent analytical work.

04

AI-assisted context

Distributed compute enables richer, faster contextualisation of complex source material.

Privacy & Safety

Privacy and operational safety as core principles.

The project is designed with privacy and operational safety as core principles. Client releases will be based on voluntary participation, limited task execution and transparent workload handling.

Participation is voluntary.

The client does not process personal user files.

The client does not provide uncontrolled access to contributor systems.

Workloads are designed to be transparent and controlled.

Users can stop participation at any time.

Detailed technical and legal documentation will be published alongside the public client release. See the Privacy & Safety Principles page for the current statement.
